Takara Taylor has recently joined the Lighthouse Team as the Community Liaison for the Neighborhood Services Department. She possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and over the past 8 years she has developed a background in the areas of Human Services and Real Estate Practices. Takara has always had a sincere passion for having a role that involves enhancing the community. She strongly supports the concept of revitalizing neighborhoods with the use of ongoing implementation of leadership development, empowerment, and community resources.  

Takara’s mission as the Community Liaison includes taking active steps towards maintaining the “unity within the community”. On an ongoing basis, she will be teaming up with residents, city officials, and local organizations to develop strategies that will help build stronger neighborhoods. Some of those strategies involve recognizing neighborhood leaders, developing block clubs, and providing assistance with addressing public safety issues.
